The Invasion is a retro-inspired, arcade-style space shooter where you are Earth's last defense against an overwhelming alien force. Developed entirely in C++ with the Allegro library, this game is a passion project that goes back to the roots of game development. No engines, just pure code.

Blast your way through endless waves of enemies, dodge their attacks, and fight for the highest score. The further you get, the more intense the invasion becomes. Do you have what it takes to repel the invaders?

About the Developer:

This game was created as a foundational project to demonstrate a deep understanding of core computer science principles, memory management, and software architecture in C and C++. It was a one-person project, handling everything from the game loop and rendering to physics and input processing.

What makes this project special is that it was developed entirely during my first semester of college. It represents a significant personal milestone and the beginning of my journey into software development.
